How To Play

This challenge site gives you the opportunity to try new color combinations while reading inspiration from images. Try it! It's a great challenge and so much FUN!!! Need a great color scheme for an assignment, or a submission? Do the colors match a certain paper or photo you've been wanting to scrap? You can also combine this challenge with your other challenges! Or maybe you just haven't experimented with these colors yet. Whatever the reason, JUST DO IT!!!! Your layout will just POP and I am sure that you will be happy with the results!

HOW TO PLAY

- Neutral backgrounds like kraft, black or white are allowed.

- Use the colors in whatever combination you like. Incorporate the colors in your photos, embellishments, patterned paper, whatever, but you have to use all the colors!

- Stay true to the given colors on the swatch. You may add another color from the Inspiration Photo, if necessary, but in a small dose. The additional color/colors CANNOT be more than the amount of ANY of the colors used in the given Color Combo. It will not be following the challenge rules and will end up looking like a different combo altogether.

- Play for fun! But in all fairness, if you want to be considered for a Featured Favorite or receive the Prize at the end of the month, you must include the Designer's Challenge and specific Color Combo for that Challenge.

BONUS CHALLENGE 

The Bonus Challenge is where you get to play with the Inspiration Photo. By including it in your design, and explaining it on your blog, it will give you double points when we are considering the winners of the month. The Design Team will give you some "Designer's Tips" below their Revel Photo, these are Inspiration Prompts that offer ideas on how to translate an element from the Inspiration Photo to your design. You can use any of these prompts, or perhaps it might just click another creative idea for you! Whatever inspires you, so be sure to play along with this part of the challenge. It sure is fun!

THE SCHEDULE

One Color Combo posted every TWO WEEKS, twice each month, alternating layouts and cards each single week, using a different Inspiration Photo and Designer Challenge for each.

You will be given two weeks to complete the Layout Challenge and one week for the Cards Challenge.

for example:

Jan 1st: Combo A - Layouts, tags, mini albums, off the page projects (this will run for two weeks)

Jan 8th: Combo A - Cards week (same combo, different Inspiration Photo and Designer Challenge, for cards)

       Both Combo A Challenges will close at the end of cards week (Jan 14)

Jan 15th: Combo B - Layouts week (same as above)

Jan 22nd: Combo B - Cards week (same as above)

      Both Combo B Challenges will close at the end of Cards week (Jan 28)

UPLOADING YOUR PROJECTS

Use the Linky tool at the bottom of each Challenge Post to upload your projects. Make sure you have copied the address of the blogpost where your project is located. Do not link to your main blog site. Images that do not follow this simple rule will be removed and you can try again.

Here's how to upload:
-CLICK on the blue InLinkz Tool button located at the end of the challenge post, just above the comments section.
You will be asked three things
- Your name
- Your email (this is not visible to others)
- Your blog post link.
Another screen will pop up where InLinkz has boxes of the different images found on that link.
Select the one that is of your project photo.
That's it. Four things! EASY AND DONE!

Enter as many times as you want! Just one photo upload per project entry at a time. In other words, do not link up any close-ups or additional images for the same project in the Gallery. They will be removed.

Spread the love! Please don't drop and go. Visit and leave comments on the blogs of the many other projects you see in the InLinkz Gallery. Everybody loves some love on their blogs, it's just a nice thing to do. You will soon see the love coming right back to you!
